Reflections

The new life I was so eager to account for in this space. The time I never found to pen it down. I was never really someone who could write something soul-searching or that sends impact. But it would be right to bring to light what I have learnt in these past five months and I want to do it as best as I can.

Friends
I have never been someone who does the calling up and planning to meet up with friends. What a chore! I would always silently think to myself. But someone always has to put in the first step. And if I haven't done it for 21 years of my life, I should start now. Cherish what you have and maintain these invisible but thick bonds that makes life a breeze, or almost.

To Ju: I haven't always shown my best of moods to you. Sometimes I was pissed at you using my laptop while I had nothing to do, sometimes I wished I wasn't around you so much. But really, it's hard to find someone you could talk and share your life with, and I'm really glad for your friendship! And most important of all, I think you know how to love more than I do. Love that doesn't require it to be requited. I admit, I still fall short of the standard.

To Cami: I thought we were just friends of convenience but those tears in your eyes were real. Still, maintaining our friendship seems to be a really tough case, but I will try my best.

To Allan: We've only had lunch twice and but I think you made me realize how passion really triumphs all. To be interested in everything you choose to do, how hard it is to be realized in life! Even though I'm pretty much still in the 'IDN what I want to do in life' stage, you have truly been an inspiration. And I want to find my passion in life. And I don't know what exactly it is, but I know, it's going to be simple and it's going to keep me happy.

To Dani: It was indeed a silly crush and I think I have found the wrong person to want to practise my spanish with :x Hopefully it's still possible to keep you as a friend, though I find your interests in partying all the time a little too much to handle.

To the rest of the people I've met: May we be acquaintances or friends, it is with pleasure to have met and conversed with you, in one way or another. I wish the best in your life, and may it be possible that we keep in contact!

Spanish
La verdad es que he querido castellano mucho mas!! Algún día, volveré a Barcelona!!! No voy a escribir más -______- hasta mejore mi nivel.

Cooking
Sadly, I haven't been a good cook. I was trying to name to my love what dishes I have mastered. Soya beans with eggs, steamed stuff, grilled stuff. Son todos. Que malo!!!

Independence
Not full fledged independent that I could pay for all my bills, but learning to use the washing machine, clean the room and the toilet, were big steps for me. All because of the pampered life I lead back home in Singapore. Now that I'm thrown back here, it doesn't make sense for me to do these things anymore. But I don't want to lose this 'Oh, I can actually do all these things myself!' feeling. But it is a great feeling, knowing that I could actually do these things, despite how simple it may be.

Love
I still suck at it. And I need to think more. Not writing anymore regarding this at the moment. [Under construction]

Life
I love my life in Barcelona. Was it all just the hedonist in me, wanting to have fun and not care about anything? Perhaps a part of it. But coming back to Singapore again, I hate having to stress myself yet and again with, YOU NEED AN INTERNSHIP. I wished I could just do whatever I want at the moment. Like now, I want to try waitressing. When will I ever get the chance to do it? Like never. Because now I need an internship otherwise I'm not going to land a job next year. Life just sucks when you have to PLAN for everything single thing, otherwise you are just going to FAIL in life.

I need a dream now, that can bring me riches, not too much. But sufficient to support my parents and my future family.

And as I finish my entry, I've come to realise, I still have a lot of maturing to do. A lot of soul searching to do.
