sick

i used to think i have a strong constitution despite the weak and fragile appearance i have. I had full attendance recorded in my report book throughout my four years in secondary school. but sadly, i have succumbed to a running temperature and coughing fits. if only i had taken more apples, i would have kept the doctor at bay. simply hate visiting the doctor. simply hate popping dozens of pills and that yucky cough syrup. i don't get it why anyone can get addicted to cough syrup.

maybe i cannot tahan late nights. those mallet practices i have end at 9, and i reach home only past 11, after mr tan winds through several places to send the few girls home. i just happen to be last. the concert is barely a few days away, and i still repeatedly make mistakes in my playing. i think mr ngoh is disappointed with me. and i didn't turn up for the last practice. simply too ill.

thanks to all who showed concern!

Humility. I obviously can't sense that in a particular band I shall not mention.

There will always be people putting you down. but njcsb will never give up. We may not be the best but we certainly have given our best.

This is in response to an entry my elder sister wrote about irritating salesmen. My cousin came to my house again, this time accompanied by another colleague. I couldn't even recognise him. There I am, same age as him, wearing my nj polo tee while he's in smart attire- long sleeved shirt and pants. contradiction. My mother gave in to him in the end, being pestered for ages. It's hard to be relatives, ain't it. If my mother doesn't buy from my cousin, what will the other relatives say? They will start thinking that my mother is selfish and doesn't want to help a kin. The problem is, that 'magical' magnetic mattress costs more than a thousand. It doesn't make sense and I don't think it works anyway. My mother had a trial and it made her even more sleepy during the day. Please, sales people out there, don't target your relatives. It's sooo hard.

Tea break at The Coffee Connoiseur. received unsatisfactory service and attitude from their staff. oh my gosh, if only we had gone to the fullerton instead. We wouldn't have to tolerate such poor service from such a lowly cafe. anyway, the thing goes like this: the place was full and the waitress directed us not to block the entrance but wait outside. They were reluctant to give sofa seats to us. Then they plainly forgot to serve our slices of cakes. We had to remind them. what nerves they have! In the end, we saw a few caucasians sitting in the cafe (bench-like seats) to wait to be served. I couldn't understand why we were not asked to wait there. As we left, I coolly asked one of the staff why. she claimed it was too crowded. ahhhh. I don't understand why they must treat students differently from working adults or caucasians. Puh-lease, it's not like we are not going to pay for our meals.

perhaps when you enter society to work, you become mindless of others' feelings. eeeeeeeeeeee

anyway, i think the band sounds fine. of course there is always room for improvement but i am glad we certainly have improved in these past few months. to those sick, take care!
